Brad Fisher is a Partner and the U.S. Leader for Data & Analytics at KPMG, and has more than three decades of experience providing professional services to clients in a wide range of industries.
Brad has presided over the firm’s rapid growth in the scale and the range of capabilities of the firm’s Data & Analytics and Artificial Intelligence service including the launch of KPMG Ignite, the firm’s AI platform. As such, he has led the development and execution of the firm’s strategy in this area, which extends to advisory, tax, and audit. Also under his leadership, the KPMG Lighthouse was created as the firm’s D&A Center-of-Excellence, housing over 250 advanced data scientists and Big Data software engineers.
Brad works with leading multi-national companies to help them harness data and use advanced analytics to generate tangible business results. In this role, Brad serves as a data evangelist, working to leverage KPMG’s advanced capabilities in Big Data, global signals, cognitive/AI, predictive analytics, optimization modeling, and analytics technologies to help clients turn data into insights and value.
Bud Mathaisel is an advisor to Boards and executive management on the strategic use of information technology, and best practices on technology operations. His consulting includes advanced technology selection, cyber security, Big Data/Analytics, applications development and deployment, management of IT, and governance.
He serves on an Advisory Board to Honda Finance, North America, focusing on Information Technology topics for Honda, and is an advisor to their CIO. For over ten years, Mr. Mathaisel served on the board and audit committee of e2open (Nasdaq EOPN), a Saas company that provides collaboration and supply chain software and services, until e2open was sold in 2015. He has served also on the boards and audit committees of Packeteer, QD Technologies and AcXess. He is a member of the Audit Committee Roundtable of Orange County.
Recently, Mr. Mathaisel was Senior Vice President and CIO, and then COO North America and Europe for Achievo, which provided IT and software services from China.
Prior to Achievo, Mr. Mathaisel was Senior Vice President and CIO for Solectron Corporation; the global CIO at Ford Motor Company and the global CIO for The Walt Disney Company. Mr. Mathaisel was also a Partner and the founding director of Ernst & Young's Center for Business Innovation in Boston.
For nine years, he was a researcher and writer for PwC on technology strategy, and has been a speaker to Boards on IT topics.
Mr. Mathaisel received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and several years of courses towards an MBA at Babson College.
Dean is a board member of MUFG Union Bank and Pacific Life Insurance Company. He is also
one of three members of the advisory board of American Honda Finance Corporation. He previously served as a board member of two NYSE-listed companies.
He is a founder and serves as the chairman of the Corporate Directors Roundtable of Orange County. He is also a board member of the National Association of Corporate Directors in Southern California. Additionally, he is a trustee and a member of the executive committee of
the University of California Irvine’s Foundation.
Dean retired as a partner after 33 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held numerous client service and leadership positions. During this period, he lived and worked in
Tokyo and Beijing for 16 years, serving the needs of global clients as well as establishing and
building the firm’s businesses. He was elected as a director to the 18-partner global oversight
board of PwC International Limited, the top governing body of the global network of firms. At his
retirement, he was the firm’s managing partner in Orange County and the regional leader of its
advisory services practice.
Dean is the author of the book entitled A Director’s Voyage Through Risk Management, and co-author of a second book entitled Navigating Information Technology in the Boardroom. A third book, Illuminating Data in the Boardroom, will be published later this year. In addition, he has authored and co-authored over 75 articles and editorials published in The RMA Journal, Asian Wall Street Journal, NACD Directorship, Directors and Boards, Journal of International Taxation, European Business Forum, and other business publications.
